Fuller Falls

The Fuller Falls is a unique waterfall that captures the eyes of many as the water tumbles to the right, only to flow back to the left before it hits the rocks below. It is one of the most unique waterfalls, and one of the most-viewed ones as well, in the Fundy Trail Parkway. Viewing the Fuller Falls is easy as its lookout platform gives you the full view of the zigzagging falls. Apart from the lookout platform, hikers can look closer at Fuller Falls by hiking down to Melvin Beach and staying left while following the stream to the falls. Once you find the bore holes in rocks that the rushing waters have drilled for thousands of years, then you have reached Fuller Falls. 

Tetagouche Falls

Location: Tetagouche Falls, 9 km west of Bathurst 

Tetagouche Falls, which is only 9 kilometers west of Bathurst, is a historic fall that came to be after an old dam that used to block the river in this area. The lookout will allow its viewers to peer down at the Tetagouche Falls. For a better, closer view, and for those who would love to embark on a little bit of challenge, a steep climb will take you to the river’s edge, where you will come out of a cliff on the left side. Once you find the old turbine from the dam, you can climb up on the flat rock past the turbine. Another option is to wade across the shallow stream’s other side, but be careful! The rocks under the water are sharp. Tetagouche Falls gives a glimpse of how nature takes over. 

Dry Brook Falls

Does Dry Brook Falls sound familiar? It is because it is a part of the Dry Brook Trail in Mount Carleton Provincial Park. The Dry Brook Trail is one of the slightly challenging hiking trails in Mount Carleton Provincial Park and is a bit tricky since hikers can encounter several falls along the way. The last and the highest waterfall of them all is the Dry Brook Falls. The waterfall’s flow resembles a water slide plunging into the pool below. It’s a great stopping point to relax and marvel at the view, but don’t forget to move on and continue the hike, as you’ll see even more breathtaking views ahead! 

Sheephouse Falls

Sheephouse Falls is one of the most accessible waterfalls in all of New Brunswick. Visitors can access it by driving on a gravel road and taking a short, easy hike into the falls. There are lookout points and a beautiful bridge you can cross to get there or easily get the most beautiful view of Sheephouse Falls. Past the lookout, you’ll find a steep staircase leading you down into the waterfalls. A rocky beach will welcome you as you open your camping chair and relax, or go ahead with your picnic as you have fun in the middle of nature with your friends or family. Sheephouse Falls is a great place to swim or walk behind the waterfalls. However, be careful about the slippery rocks. 

Dickson Falls

If you think you’ve seen as many breathtaking views of Fundy National Park as you have, well, think again. You might not have seen Dickson Falls yet! Dickson Falls is easy to access as you won’t be hiking through moss-covered paths or sharp, wet, dangerous rocks. Instead, you will go up and down many steps (of a staircase, yes) until you reach the valley bottom and emerge onto a boardwalk. From the boardwalk, you’ll climb up into another viewpoint where you will see Dickson Falls face to face, complete with mist sprayed on your face — that’s how close you’ll be! Dickson Falls will delight you with its moss-covered surroundings as the waterfall cuts a path through the rocks. Dickson Falls flows into a pool before flowing down once more into smaller pools. 

Hays Falls

Location: Hays Falls, near Woodstock 

Hays Falls is along the Maliseet Trail near Woodstock. It measures 20 meters (or 65 feet) and is one of New Brunswick’s largest waterfalls. It looks as majestic as it sounds — Hays Falls is a rocky waterfall that spreads the water into many streamlets before reaching the shallow pool at the bottom. Although Hays Falls sounds difficult to access, it is one of the easiest waterfalls. You’ll be able to hear the roar of the waters a few kilometers before getting there, which is a surefire sign you’re on the right path. 

Third Vault Falls

Here’s yet another beautiful waterfall that’s located inside Fundy National Park — the Third Vault Falls! The Third Vault Falls is the highest waterfall in Fundy National Park, having a drop of 16 meters (or 52 feet). It gives off a unique look; somewhere near the top, the stream splits in two, with the other falling directly over the rocks and the other falling at an interesting angle. Although Third Vault Falls looks as rocky as ever, the way to get there is mostly flat. 

Walton Glen Falls

Location: Walton Glen Gorge Falls, south of Sussex 

Walton Glen Gorge is known as the Grand Canyon of New Brunswick. It contains many equally breathtaking waterfalls, but none as majestic as Walton Glen Gorge Falls. The drop measures 42 meters (or 140 feet) and the waters flow off one of the cliffs into the gorge. There are easy and slightly challenging ways to view the Walton Glen Falls. The first one consists of only a 1-kilometer hike from the end of the Fundy Trail Parkway that will directly take you to the lookout. The second option will require you to climb the gorge directly to the bottom. If you choose to go down into the gorge, you’ll find beautiful waterfalls along the way before getting to the grand show, the Walton Glen Falls. But remember, Walton Glen Falls stops flowing during the driest part of the summer season.

Fall Brook Falls boasts a 33-meter drop (or 100 feet). It is considered one of the highest waterfalls in Canada’s Picture Province. It is a single-drop waterfall that cascades into a deep pool at the bottom. The Fall Brooks Fall is also a part of the Fall Brooks Falls Trail that will take you on a short walk down a road to the Miramichi River, followed by a moderate, short trail walk along the streams to the falls. An access fee is required. 

Pabineau Falls

The Pabineau Falls is a part of the Nepisiguit River, where the river flows into a narrow opening in the surrounding rocks. The once sharp rocks have been carved by the power of the waters flowing through them, forming a majestic view that’s truly once in a lifetime. The Nepisiguit River provides incredibly strong currents that pass through the Pabineau Falls, making the waterfall not a great place to swim in. Although the large flat rocks provide endless viewpoints of the Pabineau Falls, remember not to go into the waters.
